Fadi Nader obtained his LL.B in 1985 from Saint Joseph University, Faculty of Law, Beirut, Lebanon and his LL.M in 1986 from the University of London, Queen Mary College, London, UK.
Mr. Nader is a registered Legal Consultant with The Government of Dubai Legal Affairs Department and is admitted as a Legal Practitioner at DIFC Courts. Mr. Nader is a member of the Beirut Bar Association (1985) and of the International Bar Association (1996). He also attended the prestigious Program of Instructions for Lawyers in 1999 at Harvard Law School, Cambridge Mass., USA.
Since 2018, Fadi Nader is the Founder & Managing Partner of BRIDGE LEGAL GROUP, a regional law firm with offices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Beirut and affiliated/correspondent offices throughout the GCC & Levant region. Mr. Nader was the Managing Partner of the Riyadh office of Levant Law Practice, a regional law firm with offices in Beirut, Riyadh & Doha (2008-2018) and the former Regional General Counsel for ALICO-AIG (currently METLIFE) in the Middle East, Africa & South Asia region (2000-2008). Mr. Nader was also a Partner & General Counsel at The International Investor (“TII”), a Kuwaiti based investment company with offices in London and Doha (1993-2000). Earlier in his career, he worked as an Associate Counsel at Samir Saleh & Associates Law Firm in London and in Private Banking with Credit Commercial de France (London).
Mr. Nader advises on various aspects of cross borders and domestic transactions, including mergers and acquisitions; joint ventures and partnerships; banking and financing structures, insurance matters; oil exploration and production agreements; project finance; rights issues and private placements. He regularly acts as lead counsel and arbitrator in domestic and international commercial disputes as well as in insurance and reinsurance arbitrations.
Mr. Nader’s major completed transactions include the restructuring of a $450M Lease Finance Facility to Kuwait Airways; advising on a $120M Islamic Lease Facility to Kuwait Equate Petrochemical Co; structuring a $65M Islamic Property Fund in England; drafting the offering documents of a $800M Private Placement for Commercial Real Estate Company in Kuwait; advising on the setting up and licensing of a $70M Insurance Joint Venture between Arab National Bank, MetLife and AIG in Saudi Arabia; acting as corporate counsel to MedGulf Group in a $472M Syndicated Leveraged Buy Out Transaction, advising KARADENIZ Group on a $360M Energy Conversion Contract concluded with the Lebanese Government. He also recently acted for Zurich Insurance Group (Switzerland) in the divestment of its equity investment in Zurich Insurance Middle East to CIGNA (USA) and for Fidelity Insurance Group in its acquisition of strategic equity stake in United Insurance Company (UAE).
